How To Use A Drenching Gun?
The Drenching Gun consists of a plastic tube, nozzle, and plunger. To load the syringe, pull the trigger, insert the nozzle into the liquid, and release the trigger to fill the barrel to the desired amount.
To administer the liquid, position the nozzle in the animal's mouth and press the plunger. This action ensures the fluid is delivered smoothly down the animal's throat.
How To Clean Up A Drenching Gun?
For cleaning, start by filling a sink with warm, soapy water. Disassemble the syringe, and soak the barrel and handle for 5-6 minutes. To clean the syringe, draw soapy water into it multiple times. Once done, drain the soapy water and refill with clean water, drawing the water into the syringe a few times to rinse it thoroughly. Afterward, dry the parts completely.
If the piston becomes stiff, applying a small amount of oil as a lubricant can help.
For live vaccines, disinfect the syringe using a non-corrosive disinfectant and repeat the cleaning procedure to ensure proper sanitation.
